Job summary

Iberia Medical Center (IMC) in New Iberia, LA is seeking an RN - Ambulatory Care to join our team. The RN will apply the nursing process under supervision to care for patients across age groups, coordinating admission and postoperative care for outpatients and supporting patient education.

Graduate nurses and experienced RNs are welcome; current LA RN licensure is required and previous experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of state approved RN School of Nursing.
• Current Louisiana RN license.
• Previous experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

IMC is currently hiring a RN -Ambulatory Care, who uunder the general supervision of the Unit Director andcharge nurse with the authority of the Chief Nursing Officer, the RN appliesthe nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation) incaring for patients. Effectively interact with patient, significantothers, and other heath team members. Demonstrates knowledge and skillsnecessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safetyand related criteria for the newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatricpopulation. Responsible for the admission, preoperative assessment andpreparation of patients admitted on the day of the scheduled surgical procedureand post-operative care and discharge of outpatients.

EDUCATION

• Graduate of state approved RN School of Nursing

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION

• Current license as a RN in the State of Louisiana

TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience preferred, but not required.
