Job summary

Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, LA is seeking Registered Nurses for its Emergency Department on a PRN basis. The RN will apply nursing process, interact with patients and families, and work under the Unit Director and Chief Nursing Officer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of state approved RN School of Nursing.
• Previous ED experience preferred, but not required.
• Basic knowledge of nursing process and biology/chemistry; ability to communicate effectively.

IMC currently has openings in our Emergency Department for Registered Nurses (RN), on a PRN basis. The Emergency Department RN is under the general supervision of the Unit Director and with the authority of the Chief Nursing Officer, will apply nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation) in caring for patients. Effectively interact with patient, significant others, and other health team members. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.

EDUCATION

• Graduate of state approved RN School of Nursing.

Training/Experience

• Previous experience preferred, but not required.
