Job summary

Iberia Medical Center (IMC) in New Iberia, LA is seeking an RN - Ambulatory Care to join our team. The RN will apply the nursing process under supervision to care for patients across age groups, coordinating admission and postoperative care for outpatients and supporting patient education.

Graduate nurses and experienced RNs are welcome; current LA RN licensure is required and previous experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of state approved RN School of Nursing.
• Current Louisiana RN license.
• Previous experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates respect for patients and families.
• Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care.
• Assesses patient health using the nursing process and plans care accordingly.
• Identifies patient and family education needs and initiates education per age of patient.
• Coordinates discharge planning with other disciplines.
• Complies with Iberia Medical Center's Standards of Performance.
