Job summary

Shields Advanced Therapies in Durham, NC is seeking an experienced Advanced Therapies Intake Coordinator, RN to join our hybrid team. You will review nursing-informed intake data, coordinate travel and co-pay assistance, and maintain accurate tracking in Excel and Epic.

You will collaborate with nurse navigators, financial clearance, and social work colleagues to prevent care barriers and ensure timely access to cell and gene therapy pathways.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in North Carolina or eligible for NC licensure.
• 5+ years of nursing experience; cell and gene therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic EHR systems in daily workflow.
• Strong Excel data-tracking capabilities for patient support.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple data sources with accuracy.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional healthcare teams.
• Familiarity with patient tracking and financial-support programs.

Responsibilities

• Review intake data with a nursing lens to ensure complete patient records.
• Own and maintain patient tracking in Excel and Epic records.
• Support travel, lodging, and co-pay applications with therapy manufacturers.
• Maintain up-to-date travel and financial assistance tracking.
• Coordinate with nurse navigation and financial clearance teams for seamless handoffs.
• Partner with clinical social workers to manage travel and support tracking.
• Identify data gaps or clinical flags and resolve them quickly
• Serve as a clinically knowledgeable point of contact across teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement of intake tracking tools
