Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC, is seeking a Pharmacy Access & Solutions Technician to join the Advanced Clinical Therapeutics Program. You will support patients accessing high-cost specialty medications and coordinate with CPPs, physicians, and payers to ensure timely therapy initiation and continuation.

The role focuses on benefits investigations, prior authorizations, and financial assistance, while navigating insurance barriers and optimizing care workflows within a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be registered with NC Board of Pharmacy; CPhT/ExCPT preferred.
• Two years of pharmacy technician experience or related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of service line regulations and external support services.
• Identify opportunities for intervention and address customer concerns.
• Document patient eligibility and enrollment in EPIC and vendor systems.
