Job summary

Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse, Advanced Care to provide high-level nursing care for patients with advanced illness or injury. The RN will work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in the Labor & Delivery department, part of a modern facility with comprehensive services and a focus on family-centered care.

The role requires critical care skills, timely interventions, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to support patient stabilization and recovery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current licensure as a registered nurse in Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• A minimum of one year of experience in Labor & Delivery.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical knowledge, skills, and judgement to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies.
• Utilizes information and assessment data to respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment and interprets electronic displays.
• Responds to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol.
• Develops and revises an individualized plan of care based on patient needs.
• Collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to manage the unit/department.
