Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Adult Surgical Unit 800. The role coordinates patient care planning using the nursing process and critical thinking to maintain safety and well‑being. The nurse provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, develops care plans, and documents thoroughly.

Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, ensures timely responses to changes in patient condition. A one-year acute care background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in nursing.
• 1 year nursing experience in acute care preferred.
• Current Arizona RN licensure and BLS certification required.
• Additional department-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes.
• Develop individualized care plans and document patient data.
• Review shift reports and perform rounds.
• Notify physicians of urgent events.
• Educate patients and families and ensure safety.
• Adhere to policies and safety standards.
