Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for Adult Surgical 700 on the night shift. This full-time role coordinates patient care planning, leveraging nursing process and critical thinking to safeguard patient safety and well‑being.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, evaluation of outcomes, rounds, documentation, and collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. Arizona RN licensure and BLS are required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred; EP lab experience may be required.
• Current RN license to practice in Arizona and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, and adjusts nursing care as needed to ensure safe care.
• Writes or obtains initial nursing histories and develops individual care plans.
• Receives shift reports, performs rounds, and notes patient conditions.
• Notifies physicians of unusual events and seeks direct consultation.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to support patient education and safety.
• Evaluates patient outcomes and revises care plans accordingly.
• Identifies and resolves workplace health and safety issues.
• Administers medications and ensures aseptic techniques.
• Oversees IV lines and patient movement for safety.
• Adheres to policies and supports TMCH values.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
