Job summary

HC is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Risk Manager for a leading Skilled Nursing Facility. The role combines clinical leadership with risk management to ensure patient safety, regulatory compliance, and proactive quality improvement.

The ADON supports the Director of Nursing, oversees nursing operations, staffing, and clinical workflows while leading incident investigations, corrective action plans, and QAPI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Prior experience in risk management, QA, or compliance is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing in daily nursing operations and staff oversight.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and clinical workflow efficiency.
• Supervise and evaluate nursing personnel.
• Lead the risk management program, including incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Oversee QA and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and compliance reporting.
