Job summary

Hc is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Risk & Education to join our leadership team in a skilled nursing facility. This full-time, in-person role leads clinical education, risk management, and quality improvement efforts to elevate resident care and staff performance.

You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing and facility leaders to ensure regulatory compliance, staff development, and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing with oversight of daily nursing operations and clinical services.
• Develop, coordinate, and provide ongoing education and training for nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Lead orientation programs and ensure new employees receive appropriate clinical training.
• Monitor clinical practices to ensure CMS regulations, state requirements, and facility policies are followed.
• Identify educational opportunities based on quality metrics, audits, incidents, and clinical trends.
• Support infection prevention initiatives and promote best practices throughout the facility.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) activities.
• Review incident reports, identify risk areas, and assist with corrective action plans.
• Conduct clinical audits to ensure documentation accuracy and adherence to care standards.
• Assist with survey preparation and regulatory compliance activities.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to nursing staff to promote growth and accountability.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes and satisfaction.
• Assist with developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures.
