Care Initiatives is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON - RN) to lead our nursing team across the facility, ensuring high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance. This RN leader will supervise the Director of Nursing, conduct rounds, coach staff, manage administrative tasks, and participate in on-call rotations as part of a forward-thinking organization.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing (Iowa)
• Current CPR Certification
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws
• Desire to learn and grow within a quality-focused clinical team
• Empathy, respect, patience and discretion in caregiving

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, organizing, and directing the nursing department to gain experience for advancement.
• Conduct regular rounds to monitor care delivery and address concerns with solutions.
• Enforce policies and guide the team to foster growth and high-quality care.
• Support and coach RNs to promote teamwork and excellence in care.
• Manage administrative functions to improve department efficiency and future growth.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with the leadership team
