Optalis Healthcare (Health & Rehabilitation Centers) is seeking an RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Staff Development to lead education and orientation for nursing staff. The role focuses on mentoring, competency development, and ensuring high-quality resident care under regulatory standards.

The position emphasizes collaboration with nursing leadership, infection prevention, and continuous improvement to grow the nursing team and advance clinical practices across the facility.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Nursing leadership, staff education, or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing nursing professionals.
• Knowledge of skilled nursing regulations, clinical practices, and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and conduct orientation and onboarding for new nursing employees.
• Develop and provide ongoing staff education, in-service training, and competency assessments.
• Support compliance with state and federal regulations, facility policies, and clinical standards.
• Assist with infection prevention, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Monitor staff competencies and identify opportunities for professional development.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to promote resident safety and high-quality care.
• Assist the Director of Nursing with clinical leadership and daily nursing operations as needed.
