Job summary

PACS Group seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in guiding licensed and non-licensed staff who deliver 24/7 health care to residents in a long-term care setting.

The ADON will help plan, develop and supervise nursing services, recruit and train staff, oversee daily rounds, monitor resident conditions, and uphold safety and resident rights while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• 3–5 years of nurse management experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Maintain continuing education/licensing requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; PCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist DON with planning and supervising nursing staff.
• Develop and implement nursing services objectives, policies and procedures.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff.
• Provide performance appraisals and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Act as back-up for DON, RN and LVN staff; oversee clinical operations and daily rounds.
• Ensure resident safety and uphold residents' rights.
• Liaise between residents, families and physicians.
• Attend staff meetings and report to the DON when unavailable.
• Maintain confidentiality and stay updated on regulatory changes.
