Job summary

Creative Solutions in Healthcare is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead nursing services and support resident care in our Texas facility. This leadership role focuses on ensuring quality care, staff development, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with physicians and department heads.

The ADON will oversee staffing, MDS and care planning, infection control, documentation, and performance improvement initiatives, guiding a skilled team to meet census and budget needs.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed nurse in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Strong technical skills and proven leadership/management experience.
• Background in geriatric or long-term care nursing.
• Embraces a restorative care philosophy with strong assessment and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Support Staffing Needs: Step in to assist floor staffing when needed
• Oversee Resident Care: Contribute to MDS, care planning, Performance Improvement, and Infection Control programs
• Manage Nursing Staff: Hire, train, evaluate, assign, and delegate nursing duties based on census and budget needs
• Ensure Accurate Documentation: Review and maintain up-to-date and accurate resident records
• Develop Care Plans: Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, and consultants to design individualized care plans
• Support Staff Resources: Ensure timely access to equipment, supplies, and other care resources
• Uphold Infection Control: Conduct assessments and implement effective infection control measures
