Job summary

Oak Grove, part of nonprofit Greencroft Communities, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to partner with the Director of Nursing in supporting daily operations and ensuring high-quality resident care in Indiana.

This leadership role focuses on building a strong nursing team, overseeing assessments and care plans, assuring regulatory compliance, and guiding staffing, budgeting, and clinical standards to foster a positive, collaborative environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Indiana.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to direct, support, and supervise nursing team members and clinical operations.

Responsibilities

• Support quality resident care: conduct resident assessments, monitor care practices, oversee wound care, and ensure care plans and documentation meet residents' needs.
• Lead and develop the nursing team: recruiting, onboarding, mentoring, training, supervising, and providing ongoing feedback.
• Promote clinical excellence: maintain nursing standards, policies, procedures, medication administration practices, and QA initiatives.
• Support regulatory compliance: participate in inspections and investigations, develop plans of correction, and monitor follow-up.
• Partner with nursing leadership: collaborate on staffing, scheduling, budgeting, supplies, equipment, and department operations.
• Build a positive team culture: foster collaboration, accountability, communication, and professional growth.
• Provide leadership when needed: oversee nursing operations in the absence of the Director of Nursing and respond to after-hours as requested.
