Job summary

Mattapan Health & Rehabilitation Center, part of Elderwood Administrative Services, seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) to lead daily nursing operations, mentor staff, and advance clinical priorities.

As ADON, you will partner with the Director of Nursing and Administrator to maintain survey readiness, support quality initiatives, and ensure compassionate, resident-centered care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must possess a degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
• Must have an active nursing license in the applicable state.
• Two years of supervisory experience in hospital, long-term care, or related health facility.
• English language proficiency at intermediate level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations with Director of Nursing.
• Supervise and develop nursing staff for accountability and growth.
• Act as Infection Control Preventionist and lead safety initiatives.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement, and care planning.
• Step in as Director of Nursing when needed to ensure continuity.
• Support staffing, onboarding, and training for 24-hour coverage.
