Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who also serves as Infection Preventionist (IP).

In this role, you will assist the DON in planning and directing Nursing Services, oversee infection prevention programs, and act as the IPC lead for compliance with CDC and state guidelines. This position is onsite at the Spokane facility and includes responsibilities for antibiotic stewardship and staff education.

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN from an accredited college or university.
• Active RN license in good standing per state.
• Certifications or IPC-related training per state requirements (e.g., TB Nurse).
• Specialized IPC training before assuming IPC role.
• Two years of geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification at hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assist DON in planning, developing, implementing and directing Nursing Services.
• Oversee nursing staff scheduling, hiring, training, evaluation and supervision.
• Manage infection control responsibilities and IPCP program implementation.
• Serve as on-site infection prevention lead for COVID-19 prevention and response.
• Coordinate antibiotic stewardship activities and NHSN reporting as required.
• Provide staff education for infection control practices and CDC guidelines.
• Monitor HAI/CAI data, outcomes, and compliance with regulations.
