Job summary

Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehab is seeking an RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to partner with the Director of Nursing in daily operations, mentor staff, and uphold clinical excellence. This leadership role focuses on quality care, staffing oversight, and regulatory compliance to maintain high standards for residents.

The ADON will oversee infection control, medical records accuracy, staff education, and interview/hire new nurses, while maintaining flexible schedules to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• 2 years of management experience preferred.
• 1 year staff education experience preferred.
• Experience in Long-Term Care preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Flexible hours required.

Responsibilities

• Meet the nursing needs of all residents.
• Coordinate infection control.
• Educate the staff.
• Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff.
• Coordinate and direct the total planning for nursing services.
• Maintain knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing staff.
• Oversee the daily staffing process.
• Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs.
