Job summary

Apple Rehab Mystic is seeking an experienced RN to join as Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADNS) and Infection Control Nurse. This dual-role leads nursing administration and infection prevention to ensure high‑quality resident care in a compliant setting.

The role emphasizes staff training, policy enforcement, data monitoring, and collaboration with the clinical team to maintain safe, healthy environments for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in CT.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in long‑term care with infection control, wound care, or nursing leadership.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and wound care documentation.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, detail‑oriented and proactive.
• CIC and/or WCC certification preferred or willingness to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Oversee infection prevention and control program per regulatory standards.
• Monitor infection data, conduct surveillance, and implement preventive measures with clinical team.
• Provide ongoing infection control education to staff including PPE training.
