Job summary

Majestic Care of Southport is seeking an Infection Prevention Staff Development/Assistant Director of Nursing Services (RN) to join our clinical leadership team. The role combines infection control oversight with staff development responsibilities and supports the DNS.

The IPSD/ADNS provides education, conducts competency assessments, and partners with HR to implement OSHA requirements while maintaining resident safety and care quality.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state employed; valid and in good standing.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in the long-term care or geriatric population preferred.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with training in Infection Control preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure care team training complies with the company Code of Conduct.
• Document training in accordance with state, federal, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor staff performance and address compliance issues.
• Develop clinical orientation with HR Manager for new and rehired staff.
• Provide hands-on clinical orientation to licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Coordinate new care team member training and CPR training.
• Assess resident needs to design appropriate training programs.
• Ensure nursing staff competency through assessments and evaluations.
• Support on-floor duties during critical staffing levels.
