Job summary

Apple Rehab Ledgecrest in Connecticut is seeking an experienced RN to serve as Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADNS) and Infection Control Nurse. This full-time role combines nursing administration leadership with infection prevention, ensuring compliant, high-quality resident care.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in long-term care with infection control or wound care leadership, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with EHR systems and infection control software.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care with infection control, wound care, or nursing leadership.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and infection control documentation software.
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) and/or Wound Care (WCC) preferred, or willingness to obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee infection prevention/control program and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor infection data, conduct surveillance, and collaborate with clinical team.
• Provide infection control education to staff on protocols and PPE.
• Review data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage all aspects of wound care and develop care plans with the clinical team.
• Train nursing staff on wound care best practices and documentation.
