Job summary

Amedisys admissions registered nurse is needed in Butler for Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, to start of care for home-based patients. You will perform comprehensive assessments and develop care plans to support patients in their own homes.

Responsibilities include completing OASIS, providing skilled nursing care, coordinating with staff and families, initiating referrals, and Teaching self-care techniques to patients. Competitive pay and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the applicable state(s).
• One year of clinical RN experience required; if less than one year, approval by VP of clinical.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

• Completes OASIS assessments timely and accurately.
• Provides skilled nursing care per plan of care and agency policies.
• Maintains continuity of patient care by communicating with staff, physicians, families, and resources.

• Assists patients in learning self-care techniques.
• Other duties as assigned.
