Job summary

Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough, a member of Empath Health, seeks an Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Hillsborough County team with travel across the service area, including hospitals and field visits to homes, ALFs, and LTCs. Schedule is PRN to support patient access and care.

The role emphasizes compassionate admission processes, patient advocacy, and maintaining high levels of customer service and teamwork within a mission-driven Hospice network.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Minimum of six months to one year related experience and/or training.
• Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• The Admissions RN assesses eligibility for Empath Health Network of Care and advocates for access to the right care in any setting.
• Completes the admission process based on care program specifics and patient needs.
• Exhibits compassion, engages in mission support, and demonstrates excellence in customer service and relationship-building.

Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough, a member of Empath Health is currently seeking a compassionate, caring and committed Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Hillsborough County with the ability to travel throughout the entire service area covering hospitals and the field (homes, ALF, LTC).

• The Admissions RN is a first responder who assesses eligibility for Empath Health Network of Care while advocating for optimal access to the right care at the right time in any care setting.
• The Admissions RN completes the admission process based on care program specifics, guidelines, and patient‑specific needs.
• This RN exhibits passion for the services we offer while engaging in mission support, and portrays excellence in customer service and relationship‑building internally and externally.

What You’ll Need

• Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school; Minimum of or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensure:
