Job summary

Suncoast Hospice, part of Empath Health, is seeking a compassionate Admissions RN to support patients across Pinellas County. Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 9 a.m.–7 p.m., with a focus on delivering Full Life Care and coordinating admissions across care settings.

The role requires Florida RN licensure (BSN or MSN preferred) and at least one year of acute-care experience; hospice experience is preferred. Join a mission-driven team committed to dignity and comfort at end of life.

Suncoast Hospice, a part of Empath Health is seeking a caring and motivated Admissions RN to work with us in Pinellas county providing exceptional care on the following schedule: Tuesday-Friday 9a-7p. Since 1977, Suncoast Hospice has been honored to serve our neighbors across Pinellas and Hillsborough counties with compassionate end-of-life care. As part of Empath Health, we help those living with advanced illness find comfort, dignity, and meaning, while supporting their families and caregivers with guidance and care every step of the way.

What you’ll Do:

• Coordinates patient admissions activities in the long term care facility, patient home, hospital, assisted living facility and hospice house settings.
• Educates patient, family and caregivers regarding disease process and decline, palliative interventions, care giving, dying process, ethical concerns and safety practices.
• Provides initial assessment of the impact of the terminal diagnosis on the patient’s physical, functional, psychosocial and environmental needs and activities of daily living.
