Job summary

Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough, a member of Empath Health, is seeking an Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) to join our compassionate team in Hillsborough County with the ability to travel throughout the service area, covering hospitals, homes, ALF, and LTC.

This PRN role involves assessing eligibility for the Network of Care, guiding patients to the right care setting, and completing admissions per care program guidelines, while delivering exceptional customer service and relationship-building

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with six months to one year related experience or training.
• Valid Florida RN license is required.
• Valid Florida driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• The Admissions RN assesses eligibility for Empath Health Network of Care and coordinates access to appropriate care settings.
• The Admissions RN completes the admission process based on care program specifics and patient needs.
• This role emphasizes compassionate service and relationship-building with patients, families, and care teams.

• The Admissions RN is a first responder who assesses eligibility for Empath Health Network of Care while advocating for optimal access to the right care at the right time in any care setting.
• The Admissions RN completes the admission process based on care program specifics, guidelines, and patient‑specific needs.
• This RN exhibits passion for the services we offer while engaging in mission support, and portrays excellence in customer service and relationship‑building internally and externally.

What You'll Need

• Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school; Minimum of or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensure:
  • Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse
  • Valid Florida State Driver's License
