Job summary

Ro Health is seeking licensed school nurses to join our Wilmington, NC area team. Roles are primarily Monday–Friday, with school hours and no nights or weekends, offering per diem or full-time positions.

You will support students with chronic health conditions, administer medications, provide first aid, and coordinate with families and school staff. Competitive pay, benefits, PTO, and a 4% 401(k) match are included.

Qualifications

• Active NC Nursing License required (Active Compact License acceptable).
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Current negative TB test result required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing care in the school setting (e.g., G-tube, trach, catheter, diabetes, seizures).
• Manage care for students with chronic conditions by coordinating with families, teachers, and physicians.
• Provide first aid and emergency response during school hours.
• Develop and implement emergency plans and drills.
• Maintain accurate, confidential health records.

Overview:

• Specialty: School Health, Pediatrics, Special Education
• Locations available include: Wilmington, Brunswick, Burgaw, and the surrounding regions
• Positions Available:
  • Full Time (>30 hrs/week)
  • Per Diem (1-2 days/week availability minimum)
• Shift: May vary, approximately school hours, anywhere between 7:00am-3/4:00pm.
• Days: Monday through Friday, no holidays, weekends, or nights
• Target Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities may include:

• Working 1:1 with a patient directly in the school with one or more of the following conditions (G-tube, trach, catheter, diabetes, seizures)
• Manage the care of students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes) by coordinating with healthcare providers, teachers, and parents
• Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries or sudden illnesses
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and drills
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records
