Job summary

Ro Health is seeking a school-based nurse to work with students in Jacksonville, NC. The role involves direct 1:1 care in the school, coordinating with families and school staff, and delivering first aid and emergency response as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 care for students in school settings

Overview:

• Specialty: School Health, Pediatrics, Special Education
• Locations available include: Jacksonville, Onslow County
• Positions Available:
  • Full Time (>30 hrs/week)
  • PRN (1-2 days/week availability minimum)
• Shift: May vary, approximately school hours, anywhere between 6:30am-3/4:00pm.
• Days: Monday through Friday, no holidays, weekends, or nights
• Target Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities may include:

• Working 1:1 with a patient directly in the school with one or more of the following conditions (G-tube, trach, catheter, diabetes, seizures, vision impairments, wheelchair bound, ADL's etc)
• Manage the care of students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes) by coordinating with healthcare providers, teachers, and parents
• Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries or sudden illnesses
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and drills
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records
• Communicate with parents regarding their child's health status, concerns, and recommended follow-up care
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time
• Potential need to frequently bend, crouch, and lift (up to 40 pounds)

Qualifications:
