Job summary

JLL is seeking an RME Operator in Rockford, IL to maintain and repair high-performance manufacturing systems, including robotics and conveyance equipment. You will follow technical manuals and job plans while ensuring safety and efficiency on the floor.

The role offers hands-on learning, collaboration with experienced technicians, and opportunities to grow technical expertise in a dynamic environment with a global company.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational/technical training or associate degree, or 1+ year RME experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing operational items.
• Knowledge of mathematics and measurement interpretation.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while following safety regulations.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on conveyance equipment.
• Troubleshoot robotics and Robotic work cells to maintain availability.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems in material handling equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, sensors, relays, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with journey workers and coordinate with upstream/downstream operations.
• Complete work per technical documents and safety regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement to drive reliability and efficiency.
