Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a Registered Medication Associate to provide high-quality care for residents at our Front Royal community. This role supports medication administration, adheres to state standards, and serves as a Culture Ambassador by modeling core values.

You will ensure residents receive medications safely, maintain documentation, and collaborate with the Resident Care Director to meet individual needs.

Qualifications

• Certified Resident Care Associate with state requirements.
• Continuing education credits required to maintain certification.
• Knowledge of safe medication administration techniques.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to maintain resident confidentiality.
• Willingness to work weekends and flexible hours.
• Demonstrates genuine compassion for seniors and families.
• Proficient with basic office equipment and computer use.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring and safe delivery of the Medication Management Program.
• Adheres to all policies and regulatory standards when administering medications.
• Administers and records medications accurately as prescribed.
• Presents medications to residents and observes ingestion.
• Records adverse actions or side effects and communicates with supervisor.
• Documents medication effectiveness and refusals as needed.
• Stores and inventories medications safely and securely.
• Maintains shift logs with updates and changes.
• Counts controlled substances and reports discrepancies.
• Ensures infection control practices per policy and OSHA standards.
• Communicates clearly with residents and staff and provides support.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment and positive demeanor.
• Participates in required trainings and acts as supervisor when needed.
