Qualifications

• Must have completed coursework and examinations to obtain certification as a Resident Care Associate.
• Continuing education credits required to maintain certification as RMA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and safe delivery of the Medication Management Program.
• Administer and accurately record medication administration as prescribed by the physician.
• Observe, record, and report adverse actions or side effects to ensure resident safety.
• Document medication refusals and reasons where applicable.
• Maintain medication storage, supply inventory, and order replenishments as needed.
• Record vital signs during medication administration and communicate updates to the Resident Care Director.
• Demonstrate safe handling of controlled substances and report discrepancies.
