City of New York Parks and Recreation seeks a Community Coordinator to support Riverside Park South operations in Manhattan. Under supervision, you will assist with program delivery, stakeholder coordination, and reporting, helping ensure safe, engaging public space for residents and visitors.
Candidates need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in community work, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Riverside Park South is an award-winning waterfront park being constructed in six phases. Currently at 17 acres, it will eventually cover 32 acres, including a 750-foot pier, lawns, playgrounds, athletic fields, concessions and extensive horticulture. The Park hosts significant free public programs funded by the Riverside South Property Owners Association through the Riverside Park Conservancy. The Park is overseen as part of Manhattan District 14. The parks maintenance is privately funded and the vision has always been for Riverside Park South to receive exemplary care.

Fees: Hired candidates will be subject to a processing fee between $40.00 to $101.00 based on the salary range of title. Hired candidates who are not currently employed by the City will be subject to a $104.50 background check fee.
