World Vision is hiring a Risk Corporate Communications Manager in the Marketing division.

Role: Risk Corporate Communications Manager

Reports to: Sr. Risk Corporate Communications Manager

Location: Remote from within the U.S. Hybrid if near Seattle or Washington, D.C.

Required Experience: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent (eight years) experience. In addition, at least five (5) years of progressive experience in journalism, public relations, or communications, with at least two (2) years focused specifically on risk or crisis communications.

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. for any employer.

Travel: US domestic and overseas travel may be required, up to 15%.

Estimated Salary Range: $89,680 - $110,000.

The Job: The Risk Corporate Communications Manager monitors, assesses, and mitigates reputational risks. Develops and implements crisis communications plans, serves as a spokesperson, and manages media and public relations efforts. Guides executive messaging during reputational challenges, embodying the mission and values of World Vision through faith and service.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Maintain Christ-centered approach in all activities, participating in spiritual disciplines and integrating WV Core Values into decisions.
• Develop messaging for key stakeholders including donors, government partners, media, influencers, and the public.
• Navigate complex issues with legal, ethical, reputational, and operational implications, advising senior leadership accordingly.
• Gather facts, analyze information, and provide risk communication advice.
• Conduct media monitoring, generate coverage reports, and identify trends.
• Protect organizational trust and integrity during challenges.
• Translate strategic objectives into operational responses balancing faith and facts.
• Provide guidance and coaching to public relations professionals.
• Collaborate with team members and stay informed of organizational goals and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• At least five (5) years in journalism, public relations, or communications, with two (2) years in risk or crisis communication.
• Understanding of U.S. media dynamics and experience responding to media inquiries.
• Proven experience in high-pressure environments, executive communication, and risk mitigation.
• Experience in large nonprofit, faith-based organizations, or similar institutions preferred.
• Background in journalism or media engagement with major U.S. outlets preferred.
• Alignment with Christian values and ability to incorporate faith principles into communication.
• Strong emotional intelligence, initiative, and trustworthiness in crises.

Salary & Benefits:

• WVUS Pay Grade Level: 226
• Expected salary: $89,680 - $110,000; full range $84,600 - $135,400.
