Job summary

VSC Fire & Security Corporate is seeking a Risk Coordinator to support risk, compliance, and fleet-related activities from our Richmond area office. The role offers in-office work with the potential to work one day per week remotely, and a compensation range based on experience.

The successful candidate will manage fuel and toll programs, vehicle registrations, MVR monitoring, and insurance policy alignment, while maintaining meticulous records and communicating across HR, divisions, and field

  • Knowledge of fleet and/or transportation-related principles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with auto, workers’ compensation and other commercial insurance policies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Fuel Card program including ordering, replacing, and troubleshooting.
  • Report fuel card transactions to the Divisions and train drivers on the fuel program.
  • Handle toll transponders, including ordering, managing and processing incidents.
  • Ensure vehicle registrations and title work are completed for all fleet vehicles.
  • Monitor and report MVRs, driver training, and HR pre-hire eligibility.
  • Maintain fleet dashcams inventory and coordinate equipment ordering and installation.

This position is an in office position with the potential to work 1 day a week remote.

What you need:

What you will do:


  • Handle all aspects of the Fuel Card program including ordering, replacing, terminating, and troubleshooting inoperable cards. This also includes creating, issuing and cancelling fuel pins.

  • Reporting fuel card transactions to the Divisions.

  • Training of drivers on the fuel program.

  • Responsible for all aspects of the toll transponders including ordering, managing, reviewing usage and processing violations.

  • Reporting all fleet vehicle & driver violations to Human Resources and the appropriate Division.

  • Ensure initial title and registrations are completed for all vehicles within the fleet.

  • Manage the registration renewal program for all vehicles.

  • Ordering auxiliary equipment for vehicles including first aid kits, roadside kits and cell phone mounts.

  • Handle all state transfers and ensure vehicles are addressed properly for property tax purposes.

  • Ensure vehicle insurance compliance.

  • Performing inventory and driver assignment adjustments in various fleet database systems.

  • Validate and ensure all drivers are enrolled in the motor vehicle record (MVR) monitoring and driver training program. Including reporting and notifying of issues.

  • Process any state specific MVR forms.

  • Assign quarterly and event-based training for drivers.

  • Review expired, cancelled, or suspended licenses.

  • Consult with HR on new hire eligibility and pre-hire MVR’s.

  • Oversee inventory of fleet vehicle dashcams to include ordering hardware, scheduling, installation, troubleshooting and deactivation of devices.

  • Troubleshoot non-responsive GPS and telematic units, including resolution through Vendor.

  • Review fleet vehicle dashcam video and report safety-related issues to management as necessary.

  • Take charge of acquiring immediate information for all work-related incidents and expertly prepare comprehensive reports for First Report of Injury submissions to insurance carriers, Safety Director, and Human Resources.

  • Work with Marketing on creating and issuing monthly driver newsletters.

  • Use AI tools to review commercial insurance documents against VSC requirements.

  • Maintain Risk Department recordkeeping for claims, accidents, incidents, and trend tracking.
