Baker Tilly in Augusta, GA is seeking a Risk Advisory Services Principal to lead client service, strategy and growth. You will drive a high-performing team, translate vision into actionable plans, and coordinate marketing and sales efforts with existing clients while pursuing new opportunities.

You will oversee risk management, ERM and SOX compliance, develop client knowledge, deliver executive reports, and build lasting client relationships as a trusted advisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or related program.
• CPA, CIA, or equivalent designation(s) required.
• Twelve (12)+ year(s) experience with risk advisory, internal/external audit, business process reengineering, and/or internal controls, with internal audit experience in healthcare, Life Sciences or Technology preferred.
• Seven (7)+ year(s) of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
• Successful track record of building a Risk Advisory practice, including team, client base and revenue growth.
• Proven track record of new business development.
• Ability to lead and supervise others, deliver exceptional client service, and maintain ethical standards; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, management and strategic direction with an exceptional client service focus.
• Translate firm vision into an actionable business plan with clear objectives.
• Team with marketing to develop sales plans and pursue new client opportunities.
• Coordinate resources to deliver the best products and services.
• Ensure training and development, feedback, and recognition for team members.
• Oversee practice profitability and effective utilization of personnel and fees.
• Work with client executives to identify and manage financial and operational risks.
• Develop knowledge of clients’ businesses and industries through direct interaction.
• Provide strategic business advice and implement new processes and controls.
• Assess and optimize risk across ERM, SOX and related areas.
• Review client processes against industry frameworks and communicate findings.
• Lead new business development and executive reporting to clients.
• Act as trusted advisor and lead presentations to internal/external audiences.
