Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3-4 years progressive supermarket management experience, preferably to the Store Manager level.

Responsibilities

• Implements and maintains an in-store sales-building culture that ensures growth through execution of merchandising programs and weekly sales plans in each department.
• Provides for guest satisfaction, courtesy and service throughout the store, with emphasis on front-end fast service.
• Accountable for achieving budgeted financial results.
• Protects company assets: merchandise, cash, facilities and equipment; conducts weekly manager audits on front-end, DSD receiving and pricing; follow through on shrink management programs.
• Controls store variable expenses, including wage percent budgets.
• Staffing of the store including forecasting, recruitment and training; builds a talent planning bench and development plans for hi-potential employees.
• Ensures reports understand expectations for performance; conducts reviews and feedback sessions.
• Maintains awareness of store conditions through frequent store walks.
• Trains and develops store management, especially co-managers, for sustained growth.
• Ensures sanitation and food safety standards are maintained throughout the store.
• Creates an atmosphere of positive morale with a selling culture; ensures staff are guest-focused.
• Facilitates effective communications to Division Director, Support Staff and store hosts.
• Ensures stores comply with company standards and federal/state/local regulations.
• Maintains a safe facility for guests and hosts.
