Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 1-2 years supermarket management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in implementing an in-store sales-building culture with merchandising programs and weekly plans.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and front-end service commitments.
• Help achieve budgeted financial results and assist in overall store results.
• Protect assets: merchandise, cash, facilities and equipment; perform weekly audits.
• Control store expenses, including wage percentage.
• Assist in staffing, forecasting, recruitment and development plans for hi-potential employees.
• Ensure performance expectations are understood and reviewed through feedback and appraisals.
• Regularly conduct store walks to monitor conditions.
• Train and develop store management team to build a strong leadership bench.
• Maintain sanitation and food safety standards across the store.
• Create a positive morale environment and recognize outstanding performance.
• Facilitate effective communications with Store Manager, Field Merchandisers and hosts.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and all applicable laws and policies.
