Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an Early Career Project Planning & Controls Specialist to join a team focused on project baseline, cost control, and scheduling across assignments onsite. Candidates may be placed in roles aligned with project controls, budgeting, and risk analysis to support mission delivery.

The position emphasizes collaboration with CAMs, PI's, and business leads, with established safety and security requirements, and onsite reporting due to the nature of work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, forecast costs, and identify variances.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Prepare regular status reports on progress, schedule adherence, and budget performance.
• Analyze project data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate changes to project scope, schedule or budget and assess impacts.
• Coordinate resource allocation to ensure milestones are met.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align plans.
