Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an Early-Career Safeguards & Security Planning and Operations Specialist for an onsite role in New Mexico. The position focuses on executive communications, risk reporting, and strategic support to the Safeguards & Security Director/CSO.

You will develop polished presentations, synthesize complex inputs, and maintain performance dashboards while coordinating with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent (AS+4 or no degree+8).
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOE Q-level security clearance.
• Strong PowerPoint and visual design skills.
• Project management experience with multiple programs.
• Ability to work in ambiguous, high-visibility environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare executive-level briefs and presentations for S&S leadership.
• Develop dashboards and metrics to track performance and risk.
• Coordinate with SMEs and program owners to gather input.
• Plan and facilitate leadership reviews and meetings.
• Ensure messages align with Director/CSO and stakeholder inputs.
• Support special projects with tight deadlines.
