Job summary

Longenecker & Associates (L&A), a Geosyntec Company, seeks a Project Controls Specialist to support Sandia National Laboratory in Albuquerque, NM. The role is embedded within the MESA Project Planning and Controls team, delivering cost and schedule control, variance analysis, and informed decisions to enable mission success.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, a DOE Q clearance, and hands-on EVMS, Primavera P6, and integrated cost/schedule management in federal contracting

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of relevant experience in project controls or similar.
• Active DOE Q clearance is required.
• Experience with Earned Value Management principles.
• Experience in schedule development and maintenance including building and updating project timelines.
• Experience with cost control, forecasting, and variance analysis using formal methods.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, prepare, validate, and maintain cost estimates, baselines, and monthly variance reports.
• Provide detailed project status reporting within a project controls system.
• Analyze forecasts to identify issues and enable timely corrective actions.
• Develop and monitor project schedules with technical leads and project managers.
