Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a Project Planning & Controls Specialist to join the Mission Services team in Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on providing analysis and reporting for project controls, including baselines, cost control, and schedules, with collaboration across CAM, PI, and business leads.

Candidates will support project managers and engineers to manage risk, ensure schedule milestones, and deliver value to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, accounting, finance or relevant discipline.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring project budgets, tracking expenditures, forecasting costs and variances.
• Developing and updating project schedules using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
• Preparing regular status reports on progress, schedule adherence and budget performance.
• Analyzing project data to identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Tracking changes to scope, schedule or budget and assessing impact on objectives.
• Coordinating resource allocation to meet milestones.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers and stakeholders to align plans.
