Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico seeks a Production Planning Control Specialist to join the PPVS Material Planning Team. The role focuses on material planning, procurement, and coordination across multiple production areas to ensure on-time delivery and risk mitigation.

The position requires hands-on experience with MRP systems, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and the ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance. Onsite work is required in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience; plus five+ years of directly related experience.
• Experience with Materials Resource Planning (MRP) systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and execute material requirements planning (MRP) activities to support new product and development builds, internal production builds and external customer delivery schedules.
• Ensure the availability and flow of procured materials to our customers.
• Monitor planned/open orders, create purchase requests to procurement, establish/manage safety stock levels, ensure the accuracy of MRP planning parameters (lead-times, yields, etc.), forecasting material demand, completing what-if analysis and establishing/monitoring materials budget.
• Work with procurement, engineers, shipping and receiving, quality technologists, warehouse staff, inspection facilities and vendors to ensure materials are stocked and available for production needs.
