Job summary

Layton Construction in Utah is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, management, and execution of commercial construction projects. You may handle one or more projects, ensuring quality, profitability, and owner satisfaction.

You will assist in estimates and budgets, prepare management plans, coordinate schedules with the site team, negotiate subcontracts, secure permits, and monitor costs, safety, and quality to meet contract milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction related field or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in Commercial Construction.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knows commercial construction processes.
• Understands construction laws and practices.
• Reads blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of estimates and budgets.
• Prepare project management plan with the team.
• Negotiate subcontracts and manage change orders.
• Develop project schedules and monitor milestones.
• Ensure timely pay requests and lien releases.
• Maintain owner relations.
