IDEA Public Schools is seeking a Special Education RISE teacher to serve students with a wide range of disabilities, delivering instruction in core subjects and adaptive PE. The role emphasizes high achievement expectations, development of IEPs, and strong collaboration with families for long-term planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution (required).
• Experience in a Special Education classroom with students who have significant disabilities (strongly preferred).
• Valid Texas state certification in Special Education (required); appropriate core content certification(s).

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students.
• Develop IEPs for a caseload of students.
• Implement IEPs, assess progress, and track outcomes.
• Communicate progress with families weekly.
• Collaborate in weekly manager check-ins and grade-level meetings.
• Host tutoring sessions after school or on Saturdays as needed.
