Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a Special Education RI SE teacher to support students with diverse learning, cognitive, emotional, and physical disabilities in the RISE program. You will deliver instruction in core subjects, adapt lessons, and collaborate with families to plan long-term goals.

A valid Texas SPED certification is required and experience in SPED is strongly preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, family leave, tuition reimbursement, mental health support, relocation

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required)
• Experience in a Special Education classroom setting with students who have significant disabilities (strongly preferred)
• Licenses or Certifications: Valid Texas state certification in Special Education (required); appropriate grade and subject band core content certification(s) or Texas Core Content Competency Worksheet (required)

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students
• Develop IEPs for a caseload of students
• Implement IEPs and track student progress
• Collaborate with families and related services personnel
• Host tutoring sessions as needed
• Participate in weekly meetings and after-school duties
• Maintain a positive classroom culture aligned with campus initiatives
