The City of Eagan is seeking a friendly Rink Attendant to monitor ice rink warming shelters and engage with visitors. You’ll help keep indoor and outdoor areas clean, operate safely, and report incidents as needed.
Shifts run weekends, weeknights, holidays, and no-school days with 4–6 hour blocks. Training is required; employment offers flexible winter hours for students and part-time workers during the season.
Pay: $14.70 per hour

We’re looking for positive and enthusiastic people from all backgrounds and levels of experience to monitor our ice rink warming shelters. This is a great opportunity for college students in the area to work during their winter break!
Applicants should enjoy working outdoors and have excellent customer service skills. Must be able to attend training on Thursday, November 5 (in-person or virtual). Shifts will consist of weekends, weeknights, no-school days, and holidays (Friday after Thanksgiving, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, MLK Day, President’s Day).
Goat Hill: Monday, November 23, 2026 – Sunday, March 14, 2027
Other sites: Friday, December 18, 2026 – Monday, February 14, 2027
Other sites include Sky Hill, Bridle Ridge, and Rahn Park
Operational dates for rinks are weather dependent.
Shifts are typically 4-6 hours; weeknights 3:45pm - 9:15pm, and weekends, holidays, and no-school days will have three shifts to cover between 8:45am and 9:15pm.
Work anywhere from 4 to 24 hours per week! Weekly hours will be determined by availability, rink schedules, weather, and ice conditions.
