Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Denver, CO is seeking an Engineering Intern to apply standard engineering techniques, assist lead engineers, and support environmental services projects across municipal, state, and federal clients.

You'll gain hands-on experience with data entry, documentation, PowerPoint presentations, and project data analysis, with a focus on developing problem-solving and communication skills. A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred; this is a full-time internship with travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

  • Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Political Science, Real Estate, Communications, Land and right-of-way services or a related field from a recognized, accredited program required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tasks that may include filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and Power Point presentation.
  • Assist with responses to general questions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Present solutions to concerns.
  • Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
  • Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
