M.C. Dean is seeking a skilled Rigger to set up and repair rigging for the movement of heavy equipment at project sites in the Rock Hill area.

The role emphasizes preparing materials, selecting gear, and coordinating with the rigging team to ensure safe operations. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED with at least two years of rigging experience, OSHA familiarity, and the ability to work at heights in noisy outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of rigging experience.
• Preferred NCCER Level 1 certification and Rigging 1 and Signalperson certifications.
• Familiar with OSHA safety standards and rigging equipment.
• Excellent hearing and vision; able to work at heights and in noisy environments.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting and preparing loads that need to be moved.
• Setting, aligning, and leveling heavy equipment machinery.
• Selecting the appropriate rigging gear.
• Preparing rigging equipment including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts; inspecting rigging before final use; monitoring and maintaining rigging equipment.
• Maneuvering loads using heavy equipment machinery and by hand.
• Ensuring compliance with state and company safety procedures.
• Communicating with the rigging and construction team.
• Directing workers during hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety.
• Breaking down rigging equipment and conducting post-rigging inspections.
