Job summary

Modular Mission Critical, the manufacturing campus for M.C. Dean, is hiring a Rigging Helper to support qualified rigging personnel and crane crews.

This role involves load preparation, gear staging, and assisting with rigging operations under supervision, with focus on safety and proper signaling. You will work outdoors at heights, handling loads up to 50 pounds and learning rigging practices while developing qualification toward Rigging 1.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience not required.
• Ability to follow verbal, radio, and hand-signal directions clearly.
• Comfort working outdoors, at heights, around moving equipment.
• Documented employer qualification for rigging duties; other site qualifications when assigned.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-task and pre-lift briefings with assigned position and stop signals.
• Locate and stage slings, shackles, hooks, tag lines, and supporting gear.
• Check rigging gear for damage and tag questionable items for review.
• Assist with routing slings, installing hardware, padding edges, and securing loads.
• Confirm load tags and travel paths; report missing information or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain exclusion zones and keep clear of suspended loads; use tag lines safely.
• Assist with de-rigging, inspection, cleaning, storage, and inventory of gear.
