Job summary

PEAK Technical Services Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Heavy Equipment & Rigging Specialist to support manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in equipment handling and material movement.

You will follow safety procedures, operate lifting equipment, perform rigging, plan moves, and train team members. The role requires strong communication and the ability to work with cross-functional teams on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial production, construction, port, logistics, heavy equipment, or equivalent military environment.
• Experience operating lifting, material-handling, or heavy equipment in production or field settings.
• Experience with rigging, signaling, load securement, lift planning, and safe movement of heavy loads.
• Experience around cranes, hoists, forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment.
• Ability to read specifications, diagrams, manuals, and lift plans.
• Ability to train or mentor others on safe operation and rigging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures, codes, standards, and company guidelines.
• Support daily manufacturing operations including production builds and equipment movement.
• Use work orders, instructions, diagrams, manuals to perform tasks.
• Operate tools and equipment to perform assembly operations.
• Rig, signal, load securement, and lift-support for machinery and oversized loads.
• Plan and execute equipment moves identifying lifting points and hazards.
• Inspect rigging and lifting accessories before use and address concerns.
• Train operators and technicians on safe operation and movement procedures.
• Assist with loading onto trailers and transport preparation.
• Identify non-conformances and escalate safety or quality risks.
• Participate in continuous improvement for safety and quality.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area.
