Job summary

Commercial Steel Erection, Inc. is seeking a Rigger in Madison Heights to assemble and manage rigging for lifting and moving heavy equipment in manufacturing or construction settings. You will plan rigging tasks, select appropriate gear, and direct hoisting operations to ensure worker safety.

The role requires knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to work with supervisors to coordinate activities. A valid driver's license and ability to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and must meet MVR criteria.

Responsibilities

• Assemble rigging to lift and move equipment according to load requirements.
• Organize, plan, and prioritize rigging work with supervision.
• Operate forklifts and aerial lifts safely.
• Select gear (cables, pulleys, winches) based on load.
• Signal and direct workers to ensure safe hoisting and moving loads.
• Test rigging for safety and reliability.
